Canada in Venezuela: A Discussion with Dr. Donald Kingsbury & Film Screening, The Revolution Will Not Be Televised

Public Event -- All Welcome!
Monday, May 13, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:30pm
Screening Room 1, Media Commons Theatre, Robarts Library, UofT

Join us on Monday, May 13 at 6.00pm for an informative evening about the political crisis in Venezuela and the role of Canada in the situation.

Dr. Donald Kingsbury will present his research on the topic, followed by a screening of the documentary The Revolution Will Not Be Televised and a Q&A period.

This event is taking place in the lead up to a CUPE 3902 Special Membership Meeting the following day, on Tuesday, May 14 at 5.30pm where the Union’s position on the topic will be voted on by members in relation to CUPE National's Statement on the political situation in Venezuela.

We are calling on all members of conscience to come out and vote in support of CUPE National's stance, which upholds non-intervention and a peace-brokering role for Canada and the country’s union movement.

SPACE IS LIMITED.
